I would try to find a 44 to handle 37's. The D30 should be able to handle 35's with the Evo C2 gussets and some reinforcement. I wouldn't go any bigger if you plan to wheel it.

The D30 will be fine with 35's. With 37's I think you're pushing it and may want a stronger axle. In general though, I would think the D30 would be fine if you upgraded your axle shafts to something stronger than the OEM's and upgraded your gears. However, at the same time, I feel like I heard from a posts around here that gears bigger than 4.56 in a D30 won't fit.

So I would think a 37 will fit the D30 if you upgrade the axle shafts.

However, I would do it right and just purchase a stronger D44 or D60 axle with the proper gearing already installed (4.88 or 5.13). Look in Dynatrec or Teraflex axles. I know there's one more out there but I can't think of the name.

Still a firm believer in the hard to decipher run-on sentences I see.

Yes, as noted above, if you are actually going to take it offroad and use it, (and if your budget actually allows a D44 upgrade) you would be much better off finding a bigger axle to throw up front. You can drop a ton of money into D30 upgrades, but you are still left with the small gears as the weak point.

the d30 should be fine w/35's and no locker. if you have that a shaft will prolly break. but d30 w/37 to is not gonna be something you want to do.

I run a d30 with 37's and have broken two pinion gears,(5.13's)one axle (stock, now have chromoly)and a locker!I have a pretty conservative right foot, but I do wheel ALOT and on tough rocky trails, not just dirt roads etc.I am now saving for a tougher front axle!

Yes, you can put 4.88 and 5.13's in a D30.

If you go to a D44, you might consider 5.38's with the 37's
