When you use 5.38's in a d44 do the pinon gears have tendency to be weak like a 5.13 in a d30?

The gears in a D44 are huge in comparison to a D30. So I personally would not consider that an issue in the choice between 5.13's and 5.38's. Most have the 5.13's with 37's simply because 5.38's were not available at the time they installed.
