My experience: D30 is sleeved, gusseted, Superior Chromoly axles, Auburn ETEC locker. '07 six speed with 35s, 4.88s at 142,000 miles. No radical rock crawling anymore. But check out my YouTube videos to see what I do: DigitalByDoiron. The "Kinta" videos have some especially rough stuff.

The Canadian River run videos are probably the closest to what you have ...

you're right I've been watching a ton of videos on D30'S but wanted to know how they hold up for my type of trails before I invest .. get jealous with some of the trails and D44'S . But feel i'd be fine with the D30 thanks

you have some great trails up there ... thanks for the videos and that fact you say your mods have been holding up fine. I didn't think it was worth spending the money on changing out the diff to a 44 for my type of riding the wife will be happier . great info thanks !

Add up all of the costs for the specific upgrades you are considering (including labor) and compare.

A few that may, or may not, help have relevant information.
