is it true what i read about mopar offering a deal of front and rear dana 44's with e-lockers and 4.10's for only 1400$??

deinatx...i believe that price is just for the front assembly...i am talkin about both front and rear...read it in peterson's 4wd

The front is about 1400 and the rear is about 1300. I don't know of a deal for both for 1400 ($700 per axle) or people would be all over it.

I think that you may have misunderstood the article or that Peterson's 4wd made a mistake. If I could get them in pairs for $1400 I would buy a few sets and keep them around the house. If you broke an axle shaft or something you could just throw out the whole assembly and stick in one of your spares.

well im gonna go back and check but im almost positive it said it was the deal of the century and it was the front 44 and the rear 44 with 4.10's electric lockers and rotors and abs all for "1400 and some change"

Its just for one. Com'on. One Dana 44 used to be over $2500 (w/o brakes)now its dropped to 1300 R/ 1500 F for a complete assembly . . . WITH A LOCKER. Now they dropped to $700. Wishful thinking.

Trust me, you don't get both for $1400. Even if some magazine DID say that, Jeep ain't gonna do it. I got mine from the local parts department through another shop, at their discount, and it was still close to $1400.
