Mine doesn't hit anything.. Hmm.. Make sure the front of the panel is on first then try to pop the two back ends down.

That's the Antenna. It should come off and attatch to the Daystar panel with the screws. if you look at your daystar panel you'll see a place to screw the unit to the panel. Hope that helps.

No, but it does have a little cluster of wires that were kinda hard to fit the panel over. My Jeep is at the shop otherwise I'd run outside and take some pictures. Have you tried to push the back ends of the panel in, even with the panel hitting this? If so, is it noticeable that it's hitting it?

I don't have that probably because I don't have a nav unit

I did. I didn't put the metal clips on. Once I get to about an inch left to go down, it starts to hit. When I push the back all the way down, there is a little bulge where the ant. is. I needed a good amount of pressure to keep the back down. Not sure if the metal clips would hold.

The one you are talking about is still attached to the dash panel in the pic. I just took off the panel with that ant. still attached so I could take a pic of this other anttena.

The metal clips will probably hold. Do you see a place to attach this to the new dash panel like the other poster was saying? The only thing I know that you attach to the new dash panel is the previously existing wires on the old dash panel.

Maybe someone who has this antenna thing can chime in since I don't know

Yes. The first time I went to intasll, I moved the compass antenna to the daystar. That's when it didn't go down. After messing with it a little, I saw it catching on the nav anttenna. I did a test fit before I moved the metal clips from stock to daystar. The bulge was very noticable and it took a lot of pressure to hold down. I didn't like it. I aborted mission at that point and wanted to do some research before I go any further.

I just got an email from someone at daystar. Very quick response, he said he hadn't seen this issue, he's going to talk to some people.
