You really dont need a write up. I found the instructions that came with the hood wranglers were great.

I just put the hood wranglers on... Pretty easy. All but 3 of the original "rivets" popped right off... On the last one, I had it off the truck, so I used a hammer and chisel and popped it off. No issues getting them on, but I did find that one end seemed a bit wider than the other and had a hard time squeezing in the truck side. I turned it around so the bigger part was on the hood side and it went right in. Latching them was stiff, and I heard a bit of creaking, but once I got to a certain spot, they popped closed. Road test tomorrow.

Default Tie Wraps team

Go with the Tie Wraps - they are the cheapest method and cannot tell unless I was to ask someone to look. I would not count on the metal latch as I did until a tractor trailer pulled so hard that I now have a metal indentation from where the hood flutter stressed the hood where the hook is. Be pro-active and the best $2.00 insurance you will spend. Spend your money on other much needed upgrades, they are limitless with a Jeep.

Agreed. My road test is complete... Very high winds and passing semi... No movement at all.

You could always just take the spring off the hood as I did. I haven't had any rattle or lift since. And it was free.

I did this on my last JK, and for the most part, it worked... but here in Colorado, and when I was in Wyoming, the wind is strong enough that it still gets underneath the hood. In fact, I installed my TMD hood without it, and the flutter was really bad (probably because of the different material?), so I had to use the Daystars.
