Default Death Wobble Help

Updated with video evidence of my track bar on my post on page 3!

I have recently in the last week had one mild episode of death wobble and several more that I was able to keep under wraps. I want to try and catch it/fix it before it gets worse. I've read just about every thread on death wobble regarding the causes and solutions and I still can't figure out what's causing mine.

After reading up on death wobble, I went straight to my front track bar. I checked to see if it was torqued properly, and it was, 125 lbs on both ends. I unbolted the axle side to see if the bracket hole was "wallowed" out, and it doesn't appear to be. Took a pic as well, so you can see for yourself:

I checked the torque spec on all the control arms, everything is (and has been) good. Tires are balanced about the best they've ever been. I even took it to the dealership to have them check it out including checking the ball joints. They said everything is perfect. I'm just drawing a blank here. None of the classic scenarios seem to fit, but every other bump I hit now I can start to feel the wobble. If I hit one just right it goes into a death wobble and I have to slow down big time to get it to stop.

It's been over two years since I installed my lift, so I'm a little surprised this is just now happening if it was going to happen at all. I'm not even going to mention what the dealership suggested as a fix because everyone will go off on how stupid that is. Is it possible that an alignment would solve it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

BAD advice. Your steering stabilizer is only to help mitigate minor imperfections in the road and to reduce driver fatigue. If your suspension is working correctly, you don't even need a steering stabilizer. The SS is a luxury, not a necessity. If you change it out and don't feel the death wobble anymore, its only because the new SS is masking the real issue.

agreed on the SS replacement. Just a mask of the problem. Here is probably the best DW write up on the site. Go through all of it and let us know. You probably have a component that is worn or has just developed an acute problem, and those can be a PITA to find. Good luck.

This is what the dealer suggested.

This is why I didn't mention it. I knew everybody would caution against this course of action.

My post was more towards jerzyjk09. I don't want people thinking SS replacement is a fix.

Just wanted to give an update:

The issue is still not resolved!

I have since taken my jeep to another shop, and they couldn't find anything wrong.

I put my stock track bar back on. That didn't help.

I put a new tie rod on thinking maybe the old one was bent or damaged. That didn't help.

Dealer and the shop mentioned above both said the ball joints are fine.

Verified again and again that everything is torqued to spec and none of the bushings in the control arms are damaged or bound up.

I'm really needing some help here. It's frustrating when even the so-called "experts" can't help, and I'm left to my own lack of expertise in my garage.

HELP!

I've already had the tires rotated and balanced, and it didn't help.

Set the toe out on your wheels to an eighth of an inch more takes 5 minutes

I had an alignment, and they set the toe to 1/8 inch. That didn't fix it.
