Default Decisions...

Well here we go with another “help me decide thread”. Ebay was good to me this week and I have 1000$ from a sale to sink in my JK. The problem is I want like a hundred upgrades from looking at everyone’s rides. I hate you all…..(sorry that was supposed to be inside). The JK is stock besides the MT/R 33’s I added. I will list the mods I would like to do and would like your opinion on what should be first.

Rims (I think the stock steel I have look good but I rub on full lock and don’t want spacers) 650ish ProComps 7089s 4.5bs = no more rub

2.5 lift (spring/shock preferred, I don’t plan on going bigger than 33’s) 300ish RC – 700ish OME need this at some point anyway…

Sliders (really like RedRockFab or LoK) 600ish to 750ish Mostly a look thing at this point with less than 2k miles, I’m still shy of the rocks.

Bumper/Winch (the set up I would like is over my 1k budget this round, RRF bumper/SW EPi9.0S) 1400ish crazy good looks but is it wise before a lift to add the weight to the front…

Now

Thanks!!

I ran a TF 2.5 spacer lift and it really worked great for me. I ran some very difficult trails with no problems. I think it was less than $300.00. I Think you are on the right track going with sliders but If you are trying to stay on a budget I would buy a set of Rubi rails off the forum for a lot less $$. A winch and a bumper is nice but If I only had a $1000 to spend I would buy the spacer lift, wheels and some rubi rails. Just my 2cents.

Default From that list...

OME 2" Lift and maybe some new wheels with 4.5 backspacing (probably still need to be steelies to stay under the $1k).

I tend to lean towards rims/lift also. Thank you!

OME 2" HD lift and some good spacers? That way you can keep your rims right? best of both worlds.

Love the site by the way!

I still worry about spacers...

Another question, all the lifts say you need spacers/back spaced rims for them. What would change from the little rubbing I have now at full lock if I just lifted as it sits now?
