Decisions, Decisions , Decisions....Warn or Brand X
I think I'm leaning toward the M8000. My brother has ran an x8000i (discontinued) for about 7-8 years on his xterra and loves it. From what I can tell the mechanics are the same between the two. I was also thinking that if more funds became available down the road and I wanted to upgrade, the M8000 would hold its resale value better.

Mounting plate doesn't come with the runva. I had a custom bumper made with plate attached to bumper and it was all done before I even bought the runva. But the holes for mounting it are the same as the smitty built and warn winch. So its pretty much standard as far as the measurements go for winch plates.I hope that makes sense.

BTW...do winches get stolen often? Thinking of putting a generic cover over it to distract thieves
