Recentely recieved a stock bumper with fog holes ( thanks AUSTIN ), I have been looking in various catalogs, and i have found a set of Delta fog lights that they say fit in the bumper holes. is anyone running these? do they mount right up like factory fogs or will i need to fab a bracket of some sort? Is delta any good?

Well, I guess I'm only the second person to try these. I had to rebend all the small metal brackets so the lights would fit in my Rugged Ridge bumper--the OEM ones just drop into place. I wired them into the wiring my OEM fogs were using. They're very bright...sadly for only a second, then they shut off--I think they're tripping the relay. The wiring was very simple and is all correct--I double-checked.

Anyone have any ideas why they only come for a second then shut off? If it is the OEM relay, any ideas on how to get around it? ...I starting to dislike being a JK beta-tester. :(

I am pretty sure your wattage is to high. The factory failsafe in the computer is tripping them off.

exactly, just bypass the factory and run them on thier own. Still use a relay.

I have the entire Delta kit yall are talking about, although I haven't installed it yet.. It does not use the factory harness and says NOT to in the instructions. It has it's own stand alone harness, including heavy duty switch and relay.

I had factoryfogs. When i upgraded them i ran them to KC's on top of my new bumper, I did them on their own with their own new relay. To me, the hassle of fiddling around with the stock wiring is worse than just running a few new wires from scratch.

You can still use the OEM fog stalk switch. Happy explained somewhere in an earlier post (which I can't find at the moment). Use the hot from one of your OEM fogs to connect to the blue Delta switch wire. Wire the rest of the Delta harness up as instructed. When you turn you OEM fog switch, the voltage is sent to the Delta relay, triggers, and let's the electrons flow to your Delta fogs

I wired mine up tonight...worked perfectly. Happy had a schematic of the wiring...basically pretty straightforward.

My Delta's, though supposedly direct OEM replacements, needed some minor mod to fit corretly into my Rugged Ridge XHD bumper--the OEM fogs are supposed to pop right in. I had to remove all four metal tabs on each light, straigten, and rebend the 90's so they were longer after the bend ( shortened the tabs in other words.) I pulled a tab, placed it over the bumper mounting bolt and marked it through the front of the fog light hole--quick bend at the new mark and it was good as new

This was the schematic Happy Curmudgeon had posted previously (good stuff):
