Yeah, I like your thinking - pretty close to what I'm thinking also. I want to secure my front fenders and make them literally extensions off the cage. I've already got some pretty strong front shock hoops and a bridge that goes over the engine that I can use to support the middle of the fenders, so that part is already done:
