While I really want HID headlights on my JK, I just don't care for that "bug eye look".

I don't want to pee on anyone's parade, but I'm just trying to save you guys the trouble of being taken by some of these companies. The ones in the pics above are real but only one is still being made! There are a bunch more out there. Anyone that buys a kit that doesn't have a D1R, D1S, D2R, or D2S capsule in it, is being taken and not buying true HID's. The rebased bulbs and non-name brand ballasts create major problems. There is a reason why Mcollough (sp.) and Catz went out of business. One thing to keep in mind is that the projector type is the most effective and efficient at doing what a headlight should do - illuminate the road with minimal glare to oncoming traffic.

Do post up before you buy some of these lights. It gets the info out there...

Here's some additional info on what was posted earlier by nader:

The top ones that look like boobs are made my Valeo Sylvania and are DOT approved. This is a projector style lamp. The actual projector is the same as what's in the Dodge Viper. This is HID on lo and hi. Buckets require some mods as far as I know from a friend.

The second ones listed are Sylvania Xenarcs which were discontinued over 2 years ago. This is a reflector style lamp. This is an HID lo with an H3 hi. I had these on my '03 and spent about 4 hours dremeling out the buckets so these would fit.

The last ones were probably the best but the company, ACA Performance from Canada went out of business so there is no support for the lights. These are projector lamps like the first but the lens is different. This is HID on lo and hi. I know a few who bought these and these required some mods to fit as well.

Again, just trying to be helpful...
