It's the same concept as hubs on a boat trailer. Some guys take water bottles and spray their hubs to cool them before the launch their boat from a pull to the lake. Warm dunked into cool pulls water in just like stated before. I routed mine up to the level of the brake booster. I figure if I get that deep I have more to worry about than my axles.

For those of us with a snorkel, the air box makes sense.

Fairly easy to extend them to the top back of the engine bay then just chuck on some cheap fuel filters to keel dust etc out. Haven't worried about my transfer breather and no probs so far

I guess my question at this point would be if it's ok to chain the breathers to the air box so that I don't have 3 holes in it

the connections are all linked together with t-connections to one connection at the airbox...easy mod...

no worries...you can easily build your own or simply purchase a kit to take the guesswork out of it. It is an easy but overlooked mod by alot. I would think if most manufacturers of snorkels would add a kit with what most charge for the snorkel alone, then maybe they would sell more? Then again some just like a snorkel for dusty adventures not so much water crossings.
