A body lift is simply a set of spacers that go between the body and the frame of the vehicle. Thats it.

A suspension or "normal" lift as you call it, is a replacement of certain suspension components....springs, shocks, links, bars, etc....that raises the entire vehicle.

Hope that explains things.
