4. What tires recommended in 40 and 42?

thank you
My wife and I are currently saving up for our jk that will be on 42" MTRs with Kevlar. We want to run a similar setup as Offroad Evolution's JK. We plan on running Dana 60s with 5.38 gears and ARBs front and rear, EVO long-arm kit with EVO coilovers front and rear, EVO fenders and corners, 1350 driveshafts, and about 30 other aftermarket parts. Unfortunately a good setup in that range will run you $20 - $30K all-in (bumpers, winch, hydraulic assist steering, wheels, tires, sports cage, tube doors, lights, dual battery kit, exhaust, superchips flashpaq), not including the jeep ...which is why it is taking us so long to save up and start ours.

The good news is that you are in the right place to get great advice. Keep reading, learning, and asking and you'll find the perfect setup for you.

Also, look for Lo2ay (sp?) as he is running 42" MTRs on 6" lift. Evolution has the coilover kit, which may be too hardcore for what you plan on doing offroad, but is the best kit out there IMO.

Personally I like 40s over 42s... 42s are just too big, and they look too narrow IMO.

That said, I still think 35-37s look best, they fit the JK fender shape better.
