differences in tire measurements?
Is there any difference in say a 34 or 35 x 12.50 inch tire and the same tire that is described as 315/75? I know they will not measure up exactly the same. Usually the 315 is classified as LT meaning light truck. But if you look at prices 35x12.50 are more expensive... So what gives here?
Pretty sweet calculator, but what I was asking is there any difference in the actual tire besides size? Does LT mean its inferior in quality because prices seem to reflect that? Is this more just something like inches and metric?
I call discount the other day and when I asked the salesman that same ? he said that his tire notes from the company"goodyear" said. to be used for 315/75/17 or 35.12.5.17. maybe blowing smoke or not I would like to know to I will b slapp'n 35's on my Rubicon when it finnaly gets here. The 35's sound more American....
