Default DIY Discos

Hey guys

So I'm wanting to do the DIY quick disconnect mod, that basically just uses the OEM sway and you add the aftermarket bolt with the removable pin.

I know I need grade 8 bolts, but was wondering what size/diameter/type/washers etc I need for this project. I found a couple of threads on it, but it seems that everyone has done something a little different. Wasn't sure if there was a collectively agreed upon way to do this that was the safest and best way.

Thank for the help!

I just use a 2.5" x 7/16" Clevis pin and hitch pin with two 7/16" washers. There's some play in it but it does the job. Running fine like that for years
