This is probably the greatest thread I started lmao

I scheduled an appointment for some maintenance and tire rotation. I will talk to my mechanic about 456 or 488

My guess is he will suggest 4.88 considering he rock crawls very often lol.

Thanks to everyone who had knowledgable feedback with great stories from their personal experience. I'm excite to regear!

Ok, sorry bro, I can't resist taking a poke at this comment!

I really hope you were not just stating that the sun "goes up and down" because as my understanding of our solar system goes, the sun is stationary, our planet as well as the others within our lil solar system, all rotate around the sun. Furthermore, our planet, rotates on it's axis, which from the surface of our planet, gives the illusion that the sun is moving, but I assure you, it is not!

LOL!!!

Oh no, now we're going to get an astrophysics math lesson that will clearly demonstrate how the sun going up and down is equivalent to the planets rotating around it.

5k !?!? Maybe TheTerminator is right, a gear change is a waste of money.

Here's a thread for comparison if you haven't seen it yet:

Good thing to know. I was ballparked 1800 from my local shop when we were out at a trail event. This was while he was slightly sun stroke from a day of wheeling.

Here's a question I didn't see an answer to, what does a "good install" consist of? New seals? What else?
I know for sure my guy would want me coming back for a free inspection and diff fluid change after break in but when I ask him what else my install actually gives me I'd like to be prepared for what a good answer vs. a "ahhh shit" answer would be

Thanks!

Parts for that should be about $2100. So $2900 for labor is a little bit inflated. You're getting these quotes from a dealership? Makes sense if that's the case. Dealerships always charge for stupid amounts of labor. I've heard guys getting quoted like 1500 labor for lifts with no control arms.
