Unfortunately, yes. It is normal. All tires chunk, but from what I have seen the xterrains pretty much fall apart. A local guy has a set of 40's that look like they have been to hell and back.

Yah I'm kinda pissed, 4 wheel parts dosn't know it yet but they are going back.

My KM2's do that also. I wasn't sure why this was happening at first, but then realized... In a game of rock, rubber, scissors... rock beats rubber. DUH!

Yeah I'd agree with the others on here by saying yes. I too am slightly irritated by my stock KM's doing that but I figured if I drive enough on the road they should fix themselves.

I’m leaning towards the Toyos Open Country. What kinda mileage can I expect get of a set of Toyos (this is my DD)? Do the Toyos chunk like these?

I’m shying away from the Mickey Ts because they are made by Cooper same as the Pro Comps.
