Default Does someone know how to turn off dash lights without superchip or clocksping?

I have a 2009 Jeep JKU. My ABS, ESC OFF, other ESC light are on. I belelive the cause is due to me needing a new clocksping but im not 100% sure, thats just what i read. Anywho, without turning a superchip or replacing the clocksping, how can i get those lights off? Thanks!

Did you check to see if your clockspring is under recall, or subject to the extended warranty? I don't know how to get the lights off. Cover them with small pieces of black electrical tape.

pull the battery cable?

If the lights are on, then that means that there is a problem... fix the problem, lights go away... did you pull codes?

Yeah I did, gave it to them and they said it was fine but from what i read, people had the same lights when with theirs due to clockspring so idk.

When my clockspring went, it did not present like that. Looks to me like you have a problem in the traction control loop. Maybe a wheel speed sensor, a control module or some pinched wiring. I just had the same lights on, it was a wiring problem in that system.

I had those lights show up when I had failing ball joints. The wobble caused bad readings from the wheel speed sensor and caused the system to give those faults. The wheel speed sensors cost about $20 (I learned how bad my ball joints were when I jacked up the wheel to replace the sensor), you need an ABS code reader to figure out which one is failing though.

You should definitely fix the problem, not the malfunction indicator. I've seen damaged ABS wiring (pinched at the wheel), bad ABS sensor, clockspring and contaminated unit bearing (from river fording) cause those lights to come on. Read the codes with a tool that can check ABS codes to figure out where to start looking.

EDIT: BTW, I've also seen those lights come on from vagaries of the road. In that case, they'll go out after a few engine starts, and no further action is required.
