How do you keep the drilled out piece from falling back into the door? Also any one else have an opinion on these? How do you like them?

I have had the star fab smart door stops on for about six months with no issues. My driveway is on an incline so now I am not beating my shins or knees on the door any more. They hold the door in two positions just like a factory stop. An easy install.

I've had these on mine for almost a year now. They are holding up great. Install was very straight forward. Teraflex has a great install video on their you tube channel.

There called smart doors by Star Fabrication. I got mine at Northridge 4x4. For such a simple thing I wouldn't be able to have another jeep without them.

Is that arm made of plastic or metal? Hard to see in the pic but looks like I can see a molding seam.

Also how much do you have to take apart to get the doors off?
