I run the Steersmarts DL on both our Jeeps (flipped & bottom), it's a great product as is their track bar and tie rod. I don't have any experience with the Synergy DL.

If you already have the Synergy, install it. Drilling the knuckle is no big task, and hard to mess up unless it's your first time using a drill.

No sense in spending more money on the Yeti just because it doesn't require drilling/reaming. Especially since you already have the Synergy in hand...

Y, I have the Yeti 26, and bought it because it was no drill...and bought at the time I trussed the axle with a raised TB mount. If I already had a DL I could have flipped, like the synergy, I would have had no issues drilling and flipping vs. spending more money.

LOL Thanks! It was an '18 that we pretty much took straight to shop to mod. I don't even think it had been driven in the rain at that point

Drill it, I don't care for the big clamps they use on the steer smart.

Really? I bought the SS specifically for those clamps. They make adjusting the drag link (and tie rod) super easy and they lock up tight. The only negative I've found is that you have to cycle the suspension and steering to make sure the clamps don't interfere with any other hard parts. I also hate jam nuts. I'm curious what it is that you dislike about the clamps?

I don't like the clearance issues you mention. Good place for corrosion to take over if you are in a high humidity or coastal area. The ends are going to more expensive to replace vs a TRE. Its also stupid expensive. Synergy has a double adjuster on their link that makes adjustments easy as well without the clearance issues or expense. You are not wrong for choosing what you did, its your jeep and your money. Personally I just build my own links but if I were to buy I would likely go with synergy or metal cloak.
