Default drive shaft

Has anyone had a driveshaft fail on a 2 door with just a 2" budget boost, I've read that an upgraded shaft is reccomended with 3" or more of lift, but if I am going to have problems @ 2" maybe i'll just level for now and save for a bigger lift and ds upgrade all at the same time later down the road. thanks in advance for any info.

I cant answer your question, but I can tell you what I did. My rear DS went out after 6500 miles, so I bought a stock used one for $75, but before I put it on, I found a set of used RE DS for a good price, and put them on instead. I plan on keeping the stock DS as spares for now. Very easy to replace if I need to.
