So what's the deal with the local shops? Can anyone build a driveshaft? I wanna support my local shops, but I also need a good driveshaft that won't give me any problems.

In my city there are at least a couple driveline shops that manufacture driveshafts. They build them mostly for large trucks but will happily take business from a Jeeper looking for a replacement. Just ask your local clubs if such a thing exists near you. If you have a racetrack, lots of off-road, or lots of industrial there is probably a driveline shop. It might even be worth calling a local custom shop and asking if there is anyone in the city they would recommend.

Being in Florida and lots of people burning me on other things I would be hesitant to trust anyone down here building me a drive shaft lol.

Anyways I ended up actually going with the Adams. Heard good things and got what I thought was a great price on a 1350, ie very close to what a 1310 would cost me most places. Got it for under $600 and should have it in a week!

With that said how difficult is installation? I know the stock driveshaft was quite easy to remove so that I could safely drive around in the meantime but I didn't remove the yoke and I know to install this I will have to remove the yoke and install the Adams yoke.

No safety issue or problem in regards to having no front driveshaft. I dropped my front one and threw it out last week. Drove it everyday until my aftermarket one finally showed up.

Front is useless in 2wd anyways, if just spins but receives no power.

Yup driving it so that I can get to and from work. Dropped the drive shaft out yesterday morning, pretty easy. Hardest part really was the pain of having to keep rolling the jeep backwards so I could get to the bolts.

Now I am just wondering how easy it is to put in the Adams. I know I will have to change out the yoke. Seems like it should be easy enough or maybe I should bring it to my local shop to pop it in. Can't imagine them charging much although I would prefer to do it myself.

Hey Anthony, it is no big deal to install. There are several videos on YouTube showing the installation of Adams 1350 shafts. I run Adams 1350's with sealed joints on my rig, and couldn't be happier.
