Default Rear drive shaft and adjustable control arms.

Hello everyone,

I have a teraflex 2.5" coil lift on the way for my two door, along with front lower control arms and rear uppers. Now my question is when I adjust those rear upper control arms to help the pinion angle on the rear drive shaft, how far should I go? Do I adjust them enough to get to stock angles or do go even further?

Thanks

from what I've been advised and have read, just make sure the angles are correct, look at your stock angles and the new one should look similar. I thought there was an articel on project-jk about it with images.

Adjust them so the pinion yoke points directly at the T-case . So your ds is inline with the bottom yoke

Umm, yeah, but why not go ahead and set it that way so when he goes aftermarket, which he'll prolly eventually do, its already set. Plus, it won't hurt the stock rzeppa joints in anyway, if anything, it'll help abit.

Would that cause any problems ? I am trying to prolong the life of the stock drive shafts.

I just thought the stock drive shaft needed a little angle to prevent vibrations?

No probs at all, this is the best way to get as much life outta your stocker and prevent vibes. Even though the rzeppa joints in the stock ds's are very forgiving as far as vibes, on a lifted 2dr you need all the help you can get.

Thanks for the info.

What is the best way to adjust each control arm so I don't have a crooked rear axle?

Maybe measure front tire to rear tire?

Set your pinion angle pointed towards tcase, adj 1 arm to that, then set the other the same length.

Excerpt from Tera 4 in lift install, arms are set the same way for the rear. You can look at alot of the project jk installations and apply the basics of them to other lifts.
