and, if you took the time to read the whole thread instead of just the last post, you'd know that's exactly what we're talking about - products that don't hold up.

Just because something is not made in the US doesn't mean it is not a good product.
maybe so but, if you took the time to read this thread, you'd know that there have been people such as jeep2007 who questioned me on my claims that these u-joints were made in china. clearly, they are. also, since you seem to have missed it, the issue at hand is that i have seen these particular chinese made u-joints fail on multiple occasions where i have not seen the same occur on u-joints such as spicer or neapco. so, perhaps i should clarify that these particular chinese made u-joints that tom wood chooses to use is in my opinion, a product that may suffer from quality control problems. and, because of this, not something i would recommend.

Can't believe an admin would get on here and get involved in such a 'shouting' match over a u joint!
sorry, i guess we we can't all be as self-righteous and judgemental as you.

I will be visiting this site much less often!
i hope you find what you're looking for elsewhere

Maybe you should care. If everyone was like you and didn't care where things were made, manufacturing in the U.S. would exist even less and the quality of items manufactured overseas would be even less reliable and safe.

I am almost certain no one will notice, thanks for playing though

Damn man, I hope Alibaba and this Chinese manufacturing company know they are disclosing confidential and proprietary information about the origin of manufacturing of Woods joints. I thought that information was kept in a vault with the formula for coca-cola and Jimmy Hoffa's bones.

Should aligning my rear DS/pinion angle like this help preserve the stock DS life?
Its been like this for about 3000 miles, a few wheeling trips and still seems ok?

doing this will help keep the pinon cv boot safe but, the cv boot at the output shaft will still be in a considerable state of pinch. not as much as before but, that's where it will ultimately fail.

I see, thank you.
And in the front I should get a new DS so I can adjust my caster to 6ish degrees. Can't do that with the stock shaft.
lengthen front lower control arms= more caster=less bumpsteer?
Am I on the right path?

you do not need a new drive shaft in order to add more caster. you can do that now with a stock shaft. if anything, running that much caster with an aftermarket drive shaft can lead to drive line vibrations especially if you're running 5.13 gears or higher.

yes, that will = more caster but it will not lessen bumpsteer. it will help your jeep to feel less flighty at highway speeds. if you have 3.5" of lift or more, installing a front track bar relocation bracket and dropped pitman arm or draglink flip kit will help to restore your steering geometry and that will help with your handling.
