Some dealers have fixed them, but why bother, its just going to tear again. My guess is you have an automatic. If you fix it the boot clamp is just going to beat the crap out of the transmission flange that ripped it in the first place. Just drive it without the boot until you feel like replacing it.

yup mine ripped this weekend . i had removed the clamp prior,and put some 3/4 inch spacers on the tranny skid plate and it still ripped.

The boot shouldn't hit the skid plate....It rips on the transmission.

when my break im just going to upgrade the drive shafts....hopefully later than sooner. got other stuff i want to worry about before that
