Default Driveshaft length

Is my driveshaft to short ?
I always thought there should only be about an inch of spline showing when parked with 0 extension.

Jim at je reel said there should be about 1.5 to 2.5 inches. But on his there are no splines showing. He was talking about the shaft showing.
