Found my front DS is spitting oil, which confirms what the vibrations have been telling me. So, as I plan now before it gets worse and craters, which shaft would you choose -- Tom Woods, Adams or something else -- and why?

I went with Tom Woods mainly due to good reviews and a buddy has rebuilt several jeeps and he uses Tom Woods.
Their website is very good on explaining the measurements etc...

installed 2015, so far so good.. Rubicon trail and several trips to Moab would be the hardest trails they have seen so far.
probably can't go wrong with Adams either.

This topic has been discussed probably a thousand times. They are all the same using the same components. If you search you'll find a thousand posts recommending whichever shaft that poster is running, lol

I'm running 2 aftermarket shafts from 2 different manufacturers. Each was the best priced one when I happened to be shopping.

I highly recommend the Adams shafts. Very happy with mine.

I purchased the JE Reel front shaft with new TC and Pinion Flanges, no issues.

I have JE Reel in the front and Coast in the rear. Major diffrence between shafts will be u-joints used. Some are sealed and maintenance free, others are greasable. Supposedly the sealed ones are a little stronger.

Go visit your local driveline shop and ask a few questions. There's no reason they can't build you one just as nice as anything you can buy online, just be sure to insist they use Spicer joints.

Alternatively, is the Teraflex rebuild piece an option for you? It's under $150 to your door and you could be back to functional in an hour.

Find a local drive trail shop and have them build it for you. You will typically get next day service and if you ever need to have it rebalance or resized they can easily do it. Why not buy local if you can?

Agree with others. I went JE Reel because they're local and also quality. Nearly went 1350 but decided on 1310.
