I have this too and it drives me crazy, every time I go over a speedbump its "CLunk CLUnk"

I was going to open up the whole seatbelt 'beam' this weekend but never had a chance. Glad to know it wasn't related. Really wish I could figure out what the hell the problem is.

Here is another thread with a noise in the same area, although it was described as a "squeak" and not a "clunk." Maybe it will help:

Default Clunk noise

I too experienced the annoying clunk noise from the driver door. After reading some of the comments on this thread I first torqued the striker latch on the piller to 25 ft-lbs. This reduced the clunk noise considerably, but did not eliminate it. I know I was on the right track so I lowered the striker latch about 1/16" and that eliminated the noise completely, but the door was difficult to close. I noticed the outer door panel was not lined up with the rest of the body. I must have accidentally moved the striker latch inward as well as downward, causing the door to close too far inward. I readjusted the latch outward slightly until the door was even with the pillar. The clunk was gone completely and the door closed smoother than when I bought the JK. Before making these adjustments I had to slam the door, often twice, for it to close properly. Now it closes normally like all the other doors and no more annoying clunk noise. (Note: Mark the original vertical and horizontal latch location with blue tape and make very small adjustments - no more than 1/32" to 1/16" at a time.)

Do a search for "Clunk" and you will find several threads dealing with this problem.

My question is why it is coming after a lift. I have a clunking noise after the lift, but assumed it was additional slop between the shocks and the bolts. Maybe it's my door though.

Default B-Pillar Clunk Resolved with upgraded door latch

I had this same problem, and it started after taking of the Freedom Top a couple of times. I think it is a problem that all 4 door JKs have but just need something to 'Set it off'.

Fortunately there is a solution (but no TSB yet). Read the following thread:
https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...light=b-pillar

I think it is post #12 that actually provides the part number. I copied it to word and edited some of the statements that a dealership might find offensive then printed it out and took it to the dealership. The Service Mgr was willing to order the part and try it out, and BINGO, no more clunk!

To save the jump, the part number you are looking for is: 4589277AF (drivers side door latch assembly)

I am so glad to have a forum like this where people are so willing to share information as I doubt I or my dealership would have ever figured out the problem.

I also read in a thread about a quick fix alternative to buying a replacement part. It mentioned something about adjusting the striker plate? What exactly is that?

Clunk CLunk noise, yep same here, dealer has a replacment seat belt assembly on order. My guess is your hitting bumps a little harder after the lift and is why you hear it now.

If they are replacing the seatbelt assembly, I'd be willing to bet money that you will be disappointed. Before they switched out my latch assembly, I would have sworn that the noise was coming from the seatbelt. When my service adviser listened to it he thought the same thing, and didn't believe that the info I brought him from this board would fix it. He was shocked that it was the door latch. I have to admit that I was fairly surprised myself.

Take it from someone who has had it repaired permanently (well ok... for the last 1500 miles or so) get them to replace part number: 4589277AF (drivers side door latch assembly)

It was driving me crazy, but now it's just the voices in my own head that I hear when going over bumps (or is it the speed limiter sitting in the seat next to me?)
