Default Annoying Noise Problem! SOLVED!!!!

SEE POST #46 for Solution

OK Guys

Going over small bumps or just normal driving I hear as sqeaky noise coming from the seat belt adjustment area. Its right at my left ear. I went as far as putting the seat all the way down and slid it all the way back trying to find the noise. Its driving me nuts. Also the weird thing is it goes away when someone is sitting in the back left seat.

ANYONE????????? I know its not just me?!?!?!?!?!?

Mike

I've got it too, but didn't really notice it until I swapped out the hard top and put on the soft top - maybe the door frames?

Default Noise

Rap a piece of electrical tape around the striker catch on the door frame..... the thing your door latches onto I think.... That got rid of the noise on mine

I have it too and its driving me crazy I cant pinpoint what or where it is, all I can tell is that it sounds likes something loose, plastic, and around the seat belt adjustment slide area. I have tried to remove the plastic cover around the roll bar on the drivers side but cant see what could be causing it, if it continues I will rip out the plastic cover.

yeah i had been having that same noise around the seat belt adjustment area on the passenger side. i moved the slide adjustment for the seat belt all the way to the top position and it seems to have stopped the noise. we'll see if it comes back, but so far so good.

I tried that and it didn't work, what I have noticed is that its worse when its cold and less noticable when warm/hot, so I figure something is expanding/contracting and when cold its loose and more prone to squeeking. I tried the tape on the door catch idea and its not that area that makes the noise.

I thought the noise was coming from the door seal around the door so I treated it with weather stripping solution, but that wasn't it. Its weird and I HATE IT. Geez.
I had my wife drive while I was in the back seat and I coulnd't hear it.
Then I moved over to the pass side and it came back but couldt be there to listen. Arhhh!!

How bout take the whole Jeep apart and put it back together my way. That may work

Now that you told me- I notice the dash sqeaking too. Haahaa Oh well- that one I can live with.

If it wasn't directly at my ear then itr wouldn't bother me that much
