Default "Driving" Lights on Bumper...Thoughts/Comments???

I need to put some lights on my front bumper as I lost the factory fogs when I installed the Shrock stubby. I am considering installing KC "driving" style lights instead of the "fog" style as I think those would better suit my needs. BUT, I'd like to hear some opinions one way or the other from you guys who have tried this setup and how well it's worked for you (or not). What are your thoughts and/or comments? Any regrets not installing the "fog" variant or vice versa?

Thanks!

they are really bright, you have to treat them like high beams for on coming cars

The round Hella 500s come in fog or driving configurations, they look great and work great and they are cheap, about 80 bucks for the whole kit!

I've got the 100w KC driving lights on a pro comp light bar, when I run all 3 sets of lights at night I do get the 'flash' to dim (usually I do dim for oncoming cars ) but it lights up the night pretty well

My 8" KC Rally 130w driving lights on the Poison Spyder fairlead mount are awesome for late at night on a dark backroad. They were a total must for use with the stock high beams, but since I've added the Cibie headlights with 80/85 Osram bulbs they don't get used much as my high beams are nearly as good now.
Still they work very well, illuminated with the Cibies on low, with the 90mm Hella fogs in the FabFour front bumper also lit up, it's an amazing amount of light.

Why not install at least 2 sets of lights. One fog and one driving. You'll be good for any occasion.

I've got the 8" 130 watt KC drivers down low and the 6" 100 watt KC long range up top. This combo works great for me.

I have both.

I have the fogs on the outboard position aimed slightly outward and down. They work better as low beams than the low beams do by a long shot.

I have the driving lights mounted uder the winch hoop, they are aimed downrange the same as the high beams and are a great suppliment to the high beams.

(i also have rally 800's on the window mounts for those times when i need to see a Looooong ways down the road)
