Default Drone Free Muffler

I wonder if any one has any experience with the DynoMax VT that is suppose to be Drone free at cruising speed.

DynoMax® VT® Mufflers - DynoMax® Performance Exhaust

Thanks

LOL
Your link had a drone versus no drone video
I closed my Eyes and tried to listen to Drone vs No Drone.
It all sounded the same.

Maybe I'm just getting old.

I have the Dynomax VT and I exactly know what drone is but I have zero issues with it. I'm on the highway twice a day and there isn't any noise that I would consider a drone. It's defiantly loud when you get on it which I like when I'm passing some ass that can even do the speed limit!

One thing your going to want to think about is if you get that muffler you will have to custom install it. Not a huge deal but if you plan on using a turndown off the muffler with it exiting below the cab you run a high risk of drone even with this muffler. Some companies design their kits to have low drone with turndowns but it's always a risk especially with custom exhaust. I recommend exiting out the back whenever possible that gives you the best defense against drone.

We suggest running this muffler in the rear of the Jeep.

No drone either! When we first got it I was sitting in the "trunk" of a 4 door on the highway and it was quiet.

I've been debating this cat-back as well. I've watched a ton of YouTube videos to get a better grasp on how they sound. And to me, when accelerating quickly, they sound like they may be a little ricey. Most videos are made with camera phones so they pick up all the high-end frequency and not much low. That makes it really hard to tell. I'd really want to hear it in person before I bought one.

If installed under your seat, you'll hear the internal valve ticking.
The sound of fiberglass-filled chambers tends to change, when they start accumulating residue.

Off topic but since dynomax is answering questions. Why on some of your kit offerings the muffler is crimped instead of being fully welded? Is this to offer a better deal to customers? Or do you fell the product is just as durable as the welded?
