I ran the dynomax vt on my 2dr in the stock location for a year. Sounded great. No drone. After a year it started sounding horrible. The sound of the device in there that eliminates the drone was very noticeable and it started sounding like a fart can. When I took it off stuff started coming out of the inside ( fiberglass?). I loved this setup but wished it last longer. Currently in the trash can ready for pickup.

I couldn't pull the trigger and I still have the beat up muffler. What are my options? I don't have the box or the receipt. Also, I got burned by dynomax last week by "not buying a qualifying muffler" included in rebate, even after someone asked you on this forum if the 17263 would qualify.you said it would. Any thoughts.

1 Who did you buy the system from? They might have your order on file.
2 Who said it didn't qualify, as long as you bought before October 31, 2014, you are good to go. AFTER October 31, the rebate was over. 172XX DOES qualify.

Purchased mid October from 4wp. I received a letter from tennaco stating I didn't provide a receipt for a qualifying number needed for rebate. I sent them the original receipt with the part number and dates circled to avoid confusion. Now. About the VT muffler. Assuming 4wp can get me a receipt copy of the purchase. Would I have to mail it back?

Lots going on here.

Message me (where I will then ask you to e-mail me at support at Dynomax.com)

In regards to the rebate send me all the paper work from 4WP and the letter from Tenneco. If you don't have a copy,. 4WP should have it.

In regards to the cat-back. 99% of the time a 4WP can handle the warranty (part of their job) if not out customer service can. Also 4WP parts should for sure have that in their records.
