Default Drop Pitman arm vs. High Steer

I'm getting ready to install a Currie lift on my Jeep and am debating on whether to use the drop pitman arm supplied in the kit or get the AEV high steer kit instead. What does everybody think, is the high steer kit worth the extra $350 or will the drop pitman arm do ok? I've heard some people that aren't fans of drop pitman arms say they put added stress on the steering box and sector shaft. What about the ride of one vs. the other, does the high steer kit give you a better, more stable ride?

Thanks

I had the Currie lift on two JK's and I would say install it the way Currie instructs you to. The added stress from the drop pitman arm is negligible. The designers know what they are doing! Plus you will save some coin too.

I believe Currie knows what they are doing. That said, I do believe there is added stress on the steering sector shaft because of this. Is it enough to worry about? I don't know. but ORE sells a brace for this and I am contemplating buying it. I have the RC 4" kit that has the dropped Pittman Arm and have read of others with failures.

Yea, I looked at the ORE brace, only problem is that you have to have a drop trackbar bracket on the frame side to use it, Currie's bracket is on the axe so it won't work. I have no doubt Currie knows what they're doing and I'm sure the drop pitman works well, I just thought if the high steer kit would give a better, more stabe ride and possibly add some safety it would be worth the extra cost. Does anybody know of a sector shaft brace that would work without using a trackbar drop bracket on the frame side?
