But you could do the Teraflex leveling kit or the AEV spacer lift. Both would correct the factory rake also I think.
I went with a 2.5" lift from AEV plus 34" Toyos since mine's mostly a daily driver. I love it.

18s are great and all but you will end up paying at least $50 or more per tire due to the size of the wheel if you havent already purchased them look into a 17 or a 16. My suggestion to you do a 2.5" lift for 35s the stance is better and if you are going to take it wheeling at all you have a little more clearance plus it will have better geometry for a 35. Also another thing to consider is a rear tire carrier, a 35 is about as big as you can go with out to much stess on the tailgate. When I threw my 35s on i also purchased a tire carrier i just wasnt comfortable with all that weight on the rear end and I have heard of horror stories of the tires ripping the tire carrier right off (plus it looks bad ass). Just my $.02 and here is some pics w/ 35x12.5 on 17s and a 2.5" lift no spacers and is a DD Attachment 366974Attachment 366975

Holmes, that looks amazing! Well done
I'm running 35s on stock Rubicon wheels with 1.5 inch spacers and no lift. It doesn't rub but I won't take it offroad untill I do lift it which will likely be next spring. If you are running the beach and won't be flexing it I would either not lift it or just use a small spacer lift.
Found the link. Look at TRAUMAhead's jeep. Great pick of trim fender, 1.5 level kit, and 35's. Not sure if your's will sit quite as tall because his is a Rubicon and I THINK they sit an inch or 2 higher because of springs,
but its an idea.

I'm thinking of going with good 35" tires and just offset spacers for winter and then in springtime doing a proper 2.5/3" lift for real wheelin
Would that be kosher?
