Default Duratrack help !!

Looking for some advice on tire and rim size combinations. I am thinking a 35" x 12" tire (Duratracks if possible) on a 16" x 8" black steel rim with 4.75" backspacing.

I have 2" of lift.

you guys think this will work? anyone have any pics?

thanks

I have a 2&1/2 inch lift and 315/70/17 duratracs. And my wheels r 4.5 back spacing and either 8 or 8.5 wide. And I have no problems.

My intended setup is 315-70/17 DuraTracs on 17x8.5 wheels with a 4.25" backspacing. With your 2" lift, you may experience some rubbing... contingent on spring settling or weighty modifications like bumpers. I think you should be good to do with what you want to do, but keep in mind that you MAY need a 1" spacer lift or, maybe, just do a 1" body lift to mitigate any rubbing you may experience.

You might want to consider running a wider aluminum wheel. Most steel wheels don't clear the Jk brakes without a wheel spacer and running a slightly wider wheel will help you get more life out of your tires in the long run.

Default That will work fine.

315/75R16 on 16x8 Black Rock Dunes, 5" of backspace, 2.5" RC BB. No rubbing, ever. (even before chopped fenders)

Don't know where this info comes from, but it seems inaccurate. Not heard of a case of 16" rims not fitting a JK, especially since they are std equipment on base models.

Also, correct air pressure will affect tire life much more than the width of the wheel. In reality, a narrower wheel will help hold a bead when aired down on the trail. I run 12 psi offroad on my 16x8 steel wheels.
