DynoMax RockCrawler Muffler - Replace?
I think I got them all. Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback.
I have taken this system apart and reattached a few times to get the piping just right so it doesn't hit track bar and the frame. I definitely wrenched those clamps down quite a bit each time. I did notice the black gooey sealer that was in the clamps at first install didn't really seal anything after I adjusted. Perhaps I'm leaking there It is possible, tighten down those band clamps.?
Is my exhaust or sound impacted by the 1/2 flattened muffler that was kinda reshaped into a circle by hand? TO a certain degree it is effected. The flow is limited and the exhaust gases aren't able to get into the Continuous Roving Fiber to get absorbed. Is the tube that runs down the middle squished as well? I don't know what is inside the muffler so not sure if I would have crushed something crucial in there that makes this worse. It is full of Continuous Roving Fiber, this helps with sound absorbtion It seems I may just replace my muffler with new one of the same kind since the VT won't work without relocating the breather box (currently has skids so I don't want to relocate). I also no longer have the stock exhaust system.

Thanks Dyno. I'm going to go ahead and replace the muffler with the same thing and re-tighten everything then. I just crawled underneath and noticed the black soot around the edge of the muffler and 1 connection point. i can't get it any tighter so i think i may have damaged it when i crushed it. Either way, at least I can tell the wife I did something and just get her to live with it.
The other thing I was thinking about the drone is that it may just be the sound I'm going to hear due to running high RPM's. I'm on 35's with a 5:13 gearing so I'm always running 3k RPM and I'm usually always travelling over 65-70mph. That's how I roll!
