Default E-Disco on an X

Has anybody put an E-Disco from an Rubicon on a non-rubicon? I was thinking about putting one from a 07 Rubi in my 07 X. It looks pretty straightforward if I look at the instructions for installing a new one from Mopar. Looks like all I would need is the wiring harness (wonder how much that goes for) and a switch ($40 from Quadratec). Am I missing anything?

i'm sure youd need a flash of some sort to get it working correctly.

That is correct. I did see that in the instructions.

Did that on my 08X, bought a Rubi chassis harness and switch pod from quadratech. After I installed the harness and the smartbar I took it to the dealer and had them flash the computer to turn in that feature. Works great! I think the harness was #52446.111 and was $75

I installed one on my X. Came out of a Rubi. Seller cut the harness out of Rubi and included it.

Dealer enabled it for me and I got the buttons from Quadratec.

If you are doing it in the garage with no lift, I highly suggest you stretch! You can get to everything but you have to be very bendy, lol. I laid the harness out on the ground first before I started feeding it through, kinda helped. When you take off your original, pay close attention to how it runs along the frame, itll save you a little aggrevation. There are a few hidden push pin retainers toward the rear, just break them it's easier that way.

Make sure you install it flipped! Don't want that pesky motor breaking on a rock or something
