Eagle 135 question
4 of my 5 Eagle 135's came on Wednesday. Inside each was a generic wheel pamphlet that says any of their 17 inch wheels can't have tires over 30" unless specificall excepted. There is nothing that says the wheels are excepted, and their website doesn't mention it. Is this just a generic disclaimer, or does this actually apply? If so, you think they'd have a warning in the description. What SUV specific tires (that's how they classify these on the Eagle website) can't handle over 30" tires?
Should I send them back? I plan to call Eagle on Monday, but I wanted your opinions. Thanks!

I ordered Eagle 137's and 35x12.50x17" from a local tire dealer a couple weeks ago. Nothing was mentioned about warnings about the wheels. I was there when they mounted them and still nothing mentioned. I haven't had a problem with them yet.

I talked to Eagle today. Its basically a liability legalese thing. The 135's are made in the same plant and to the same specs as the Dick Cepek DC-1's. I don't Know if those have the same warnings, but many people have them with large tires. So I guess I'll stick with them. Thanks.

I have had my 17" 135's with 33" MTZ's since august with no problems so far, very smooth ride. I got them over the DC-1's basically only because I didn't need the fake bolt heads around the wheel and Dick's name stamped on it.
Great wheel.
