Default Electronic Winch Help Needed

Hi All,

I have a 2010 Jeep Unlimited with 3.73 Gears, Teraflex 3" kit with 17" XD Misfits, and 35" Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Looking to add a winch and was wondering can I survive with the specs above when adding a new bumper and winch? Will I loose more power, or will it be able to handle.

I also have the Superchips Flashpaq, is there a specific tuner I can do?

Is anyone running wih this setup?

Also, I have stock part and was wondering if I can resell them?

Thanks

Only you can answer that.

But, you will lose some height up front, and might want to add spacers to re-level. A winch is semi-heavy, but the power shouldn't change much. If you are happy with your current gearing and power, you will be fine with the winch. If you hate your current power, having a hundred whatever extra pounds hanging off the front certainly won't improve your opinion.

Wheel with a friend that has a winch and put that money towards gears maybe. Just a thought. That's what I have done til now. Winch is now on my short list, now that I've installed gears and lockers. Of course that winch on the front does look cool.

It's gonna be more weight and your front will drop as stated. Go for it. Might be the push you need for gears. Wheeling with others is the best thing like the dude above said. I have a winch on my unlimited but there are situations where the winch does you no good without a lot of other gear. Like pulling backwards. I almost got the power wagon stuck today. Damn lockers wouldn't engage. I made it unassisted but it wasn't pretty. The 12k winch on the front would have been worthless if I really stuck it. The jeep was behind me if need be. In fact it got out without even dropping to 4 Lo or locking up. Didn't even break a sweat.
