Default err... what gears do I have?

I don't think I can avoid sounding like a bit of a moron here, but how do I figure out which gears I have? I have an '07 X with power windows/doors and the jeep appears to be set up for towing. I bought this thing second hand so I maybe missed the breifing about which packages it came with etc. I'm worried if I have the 3.23 gears (or whatever they are) that putting 35's on might be a bad choice. thanks in advance.

best way to know for sure would be to email Jeep and ask for the build sheet on your JK... just go to Jeep.com and look for the contact information and shoot them an email... have the last 8 numbers of your VIN handy... I did this about a week ago for the '07 X I recently bought and learned that I had the 4.10s...

Jack one rear wheel up. Spin the wheel 360 degrees and count the revolutions on the driveshaft. 3 3/4 revolutions = 3.73. 3 and some change = 3.21. If you are lucky, 4 and some change = 4.10. If you are really, really lucky, the previous owner put in 5.13s!

Nah, pretty sure no mods were ever done on this thing, it looked new when I bought it, no signs of mods or off roading etc.

I thought some of the 07's came with wooden gears? I'm a little dissapointed to hear that they might be metal.

If you don't swing, you'll never hit the ball.
