Default ESP/ ABS axle wire extension...

Does anyone know if this wire can be spliced and wire be inserted to extend it? I don't see why not...it's just wire...

Dunno, but I think there's a bit of spare in the front if you undo/cut some of the wire's clips, and then redo them up.

Have no idea about the rear though. I've already torn one off that my dealer was nice enough to replace for me, so I'd be curious to know as well.

As a thought, because it's a sensor wire I wonder if the battery needs to be disconnected like to undo the seat sensor for the airbags.

There's another thread started on this very topic in the last few days. Search and I believe you'll discover testimony that, yes, it works fine if cut and spliced. But, please do check out that thread because there were some naysayers.

Huh...I searched and only a few things came up. Was it posted in the mod section or the electrical section? I'll just go search page by page.

If you cut and splice, you need to do a very professional job as any extra resistance from some crappy spliced ghetto bullshit will give the PCM all kinda havoc.

Yeah, search is sometimes not that helpful. Anyway, I was mistaken about it being a recent thread. Someone had grave-robbed a very old thread with a very recent post ...

Hi, ive done nothing yet actually. Im a busy guy. What Id like to do is buy some male and female connectors that will fit the abs connectors and extend it formally and properly. What actually will happen is probably id splice, solder and shrink wrap it up.

I have other stuff I want to work on first (c-gussets, shock skids, evap skid etc) soooo.....

Ill be sure to dig this post back out of the grave again once I do my abs extension!
