Default ESP BAS What the heck?

Went wheelin a couple weeks ago and had this light come on the dash (ESP BAS). Steering was out of wack as well. SOLUTION? ALIGNMENT! So if you ever see this, thats the fix.

Generally, it's an off-center steering wheel. A wrench and 2 minutes of your time is all it takes to fix it. Sure beats $80+ for an alignment.

There is a great DIY alignment write-up down in the write-ups area.

X3 on the steering wheel. It's really easy and fast.

Sometimes it just fixes itself Last week during the JK Experience, I was aired down to about 6-8lbs psi on the 40"s did a waterfall obstacle and when we aired back up....."ESP off" light on and "ESP (BAS)" light on, with steering wheel 1/4 turn off to the left side. Jeep had no wobbles, tires appeared to be aligned, hwy driving up to 75mph was clean and smooth. I have all aftermarket axles and high steering so the "Project JK" re-center steering wheel fix was not an option. I checked all front end components for tightness and re-torque'd everything. Next day of wheeling all systems remained showing warning lights, however after the last event of the JK Experience was done and we aired back up to road pressure (25psi for me), I jump in the driver seat, crank the motor and steering wheel was centered and no warning lights. Damn electronics, my problem was fixed on it's own. That's my story and I'm sticking to it

Sweet brother! It's not like you don't have one of the baddest shops in the world available to wrench on your rig, glad it worked itself out for you.
