Default Esp keeps kicking on! Help!

I just picked up my 07 jk today after having a 3inch lift and 35's installed. Now everytime I go around a corner the ESP activates and scares me. How do I disable it? I pushed the ESP off button but it still activates.

Did the shop that did your installation recenter your steering wheel? There is a diy thread on this site if they didn't. I would make sure this is done before disabling your esp.

There is also a thread on how to disable your esp if you use the search feature of this forum.

Finally your owners manual should have instructions on how to disable your esp.

Default Esp

There are two ways to fix it.
One is turn turn it off by following a procedure outlined in the owners manual that involves turning the steering wheel 180 degrees each way a few times and the second is to install a switch in a wire in the bundle next two the gas pedal.
Both are detailed in threads on this forum.
I chose the cut wire because I couldn't make the steering wheel procedure work.
Do a search and they should pop up.

Well, I tried doing the procedure and had no luck. I went to my local dealer and asked for assistance and they told me there is no way to disable the ESP and they didn't even mention the procedure found here on the forum. I didn't bring it up cause I'm sure it wouldn't have gotten me anywhere. I pulled over on my windy 20 mile drive to my home and pulled the fuse. Now I have tons of lights on on the dash and no speedo but at least I can go around corners safely. I've got to figure out how to disable this thing.

If your suspension is set up correctly you do not need to disable the esp. I have over 4" of lift and my esp never comes on around corners or exit ramps.
