Esp keeps kicking on! Help!
Q: How do I recenter my steering wheel?
A: To re-center your steering wheel, use a 15mm wrench to loosen the 2 nuts on the turnbuckle on your drag link as shown in the pic below. Then, rotate the turnbuckle clockwise or counter clockwise as needed while a friend watches the steering wheel (or you periodically check on it yourself) go back to center. Once re-centered, secure the nuts and take it for a drive to check your steering wheel. This may take a few tries to get it on 100% but that’s all there is to it.

I had the same problem... it was in the steering wheel sensor, acting when the wheel is off center. If the computer thinks you're always turning it will activate ESP. It was scary. Had Computer reset and steering wheel adjusted to center(adjust drag link)... it may be off ever so slightly, but straightening took care of the problem.
I don't recommend disabling the ESP, work on the problem, you'll be happier in the end.
I had it done at a Jeep Dealer... they knew exactly what the problem was, fixed it in half an hour.

I had the same issue and took it to the dealership to have the ESP permanently disabled and haven't looked back.
No more "partial off" - it reinstated the fun-factor, IMO. Granted, if one were commuting in slippery conditions where ESP could be activated, one would need to take more caution.
It's great to hear others solutions to the problem so it's not so black and white!
