I did the mod and I want to mount the switch under the lip under the vent selector. I can get the plastic face loose but the dash pad on the very top is keeping me from getting it off to drill the hole. How do I get that piece off? I've tried but I can't get it and I don't want to screw anything up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Just did mine the other day. what a quick easy job that's so useful! About 30 min tops. Wish I'd done this sooner!! I used a basic single throw toggle switch. Mounted above the left dash speaker by steering wheel. Thanks so much!

 

Is the purple with straight blue tracer still the right wire through the 2012 model year? Is a momentary switch the best way to go?

I found a micro switch at radio shack that I was thinking of planting behind the factory ABS off switch... Anyone else tried this?


Would be great if I can get it to fit somehow. I'd imagine its going to take me some time to get this one to work.
