Default ESP light keeps coming on after lift

My sister-in-law just had a 3" lift installed on her Sahara Unlimited now she's seeing the ESP (traction control) light coming on all the time around curves. I saw a TSB on this forum related to this issue but it seems it only applies to 2 wheel drive JK's. Anyone else having similar problems after a lift? I saw someone mention something about the steering wheel not being straight maybe causing this issue. Any help is appreciated.

The steering wheel MUST be centered to avoid ESP problems. It will probably still activate from time to time while going around sharp curves even after being centered.

Renegade is right.. it doesn't have to be perfect, but needs to be close to straight..

mine is still a tiny bit crooked and my esp light doesn't come on.

mine goes off on some curves,

then I realize I'm going to fast, soon as I slow down it kicks off..

I think its probley doing its job, the esp is also controlled with body roll...

Same here, mine goes off when I'm tooling way to fast around sharp corners.

When I drive like a normal everyday person should, I haven't seen the light once.

Guess mine's an idiotic driving indicator (IDI) now.

The TSB covers more than 2wd. Mine is 4 dr and was not part of the production numbers covered but the dealer installed the TSB software. My jk has 3 in lift. I added a steering stabilizer but it didnt stop the ESP and I also had the BAS light on too. My dealer is lift friendly. They aligned the frontend and steering and found that the steering had a bad sensor. They ordered me a new sensor and installed it under warranty. No charge. It hasnt given me a problem since. Talk to your dealer and see what they say. Refer them to this forum as well.

My ESP/BAS light is on now that I installed my lift this past weekend. I just came from the alignment shop and they couldn't do anything about it. Guess i'll give it a couple days and see what happens.

After I straightened my steering wheel, my ESP/BAS lights shut off.
