Default ESP with new tires.

About 1 month ago i lifted my 08 JK U X. I also added a superchips at that time. For a month everything was great. Two days ago I put black rock steel 16's with goodyear duratrac 285 75 16's. Two days and everything is fine... until. I was on an off ramp and my esp bas light came on and the jeep took over. Any advice?

You can either turn it off. Or just live with it...

To turn off:

Shift transfer case into 4 High
Turn steering wheel until it is centered and wheel are pointed staight ahead
Cycle the Ing key off to on
Wait approximately. 5 sec for the system bulb check
turn and hold the steering wheel one half turn to the right clockwise
press and hold the ESP off button for 7 sec.
turn the steering wheel back to center,& turn & hold an additional one half turn to the left counter clockwise
press and hold the the ESP off button for 7 sec.
turn the wheel back to center
press and hold the ESP off for 7 sec.
Cycle the Ing key to off.

Repeat the same process to turn it back on.

You must have been pushing your JK pretty hard on the off ramp.

Your mods alone should not have a significant impact. Is the tire pressure near the same on all tires?

BTW, when you cycle the ignition key to on, go ahead and just start it. it works alot easier with the power steering. I fought with the damn steering wheel for about a half hour until I went to the dealer ship and their instructions said to start the vehicle. it worked the first time for me.

My first thought is that your steering isn't centered after front end work (lift, etc). Could this be a cause?

Yes, it will contribute to premature ESP. The ESP reads off wheel speed and steering Wheel position.

At first I felt the same way though now I appreciate it. It helps when wheeling and you have one tire spinning or up in the air. Gets power to the other tire.
