Default Esp wires!!!

No matter how many times i search it. i cannot find a for sure answer to my question. is there a way to extend the ESP wires (soldering maybe)? if not has anyone removed them? my longarm lift is useless if i cant flex it for fear of ripping the ESP wires.

im sorry if a thread exists on this but i cant find it.

Now this is a most interesting thread. I thought that wire extentions would have come with the lift kit. You might check around with the different kit makers and ask. Terra Flex is always haging around this site ask them.

If that doesn't help. I had to make an extention for my fog lights up front. I just spliced in a couple wires keeping the ends original. I am very sure there is nothing special about the wire. Just match gauge size and make the best connection possible. Soldering would be good with some heat shrink tubing on after. Cripm connections will corrode in time with might affect the ESP...

You can gain another inch or two by sliding the wire through the larger rubber grommet near the steering knuckle. There's a little bit of extra wire there from the factory. It's hard to get it to slide, but it WILL move. Good luck.

ive removed the wires from the little clips and its a little longer, but im about to run 30 inch brake lines and want the wires to be just as long (if not longer). im assuming they are just regular wires but i wanna know if anyone has done it first just in case they arent.

It's been quite a while so I can't remember exactly the gauge, but I'll tell you what I remember. I cut mine when I was installing my new bumper. It uses (I think) 16 ga wire. I just matched color, soldered it, painted it with liquid electrical tape and then sealed it with waterproof heat shrink tubing. I have put many, many miles on it and no problems. Although I did mine up in the bumper area, if I were you I'd do it two or three inches down from where the sensor wires plug into the harness. Just protect them well.
